Bikepacking FAQs
Ready to embark on your bikepacking adventure, but want to get into the nitty gritty? Here are some questions we are often asked:
Riders must be a minimum of 14 years of age.
None at all! You just need to be able to ride a 2-wheeler bike.

No, we supply all the equipment.
We use high end hardtail mountain bikes with front suspension. We can also provide an ebike for an extra $50.
If you choose to bring your own bike it must be,
- mechanically sound
- be able to carry, sleeping bag and sleeping matt, your clothes and a lightweight tent.
- to carry this equipment you have have, a combination of the following. Frame bag, front roll, rear rack and standard or mini panniers, feed bags, top tube / fuel bag, water bottle cages, front rack.
You can bring an optional small backpack, but we try to fit everything on the bikes in packs.
We suggest thermals, a beanie, spare socks and underwear, polyester track pants, a long sleeve polyester t shirt, a small (packable) puffer jacket and toiletries.
We supply you with a tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow, cooking equipment, cutlery and lights.
We have up to date basic first aid qualifications.
On your bike! Each rider carries their own gear.
2 x lunches at Core Cide, dinner on day 1, and breakfast on day 2. Menu to be chosen on booking.
Some snacks and maybe aperitive for the evening on day 1.
5 people including your guide.
As fast as the slowest rider.
In case of bad weather, we will either reschedule or provide a refund.
Yes, but you must give 2 weeks’ notice for a refund.
No there is not. We will supply towels and a soap dispenser for people to have a wash up with the tap.
